Accountant
POSITION SUMMARY: The Accounting Supervisor will assist in general ledger maintenance, journal entry posting, account reconciliations and month-end closing. The Accounting Supervisor will also supervise and provide direction for the Accounts Payable/Receivable Liaisons. Additional responsibilities will be for accounts receivable, inventory reporting, bank reconciliations and updating financial reports. Work collaboratively with the other departments to ensure accuracy in finances and that the Accounting Department is operating efficiently.

Accounting Accounts Receivable |
· General ledger maintenance, journal entry posting, account reconciliations, inventory analysis, month-end closing. · Investigate and reconcile any variances to system reports. · Prepare the bank deposit daily and transmit it to the bank. · Confirm daily that all paperwork is being entered and filed. · Post customer payments by recording cash, checks, and credit card transactions, post receipts in Great Plains Accounting System. · Maintain records by documenting, tracking, and archiving invoices, debits, and credits filed in alpha order and date stamped. · Reconcile any irregularities in receipts. · Generate reports and statements monthly for internal use. |

Customer Service (as needed) |
· Responding to customer inquiries via phone & email. · Process incoming orders utilizing the Great Plains computer system. · Troubleshoot customer complaints and provide effective resolutions to ensure customer retention/satisfaction. |

Administrative Tasks |
· Perform administrative and clerical tasks, such as data entry, prepare invoices, send bill reminders and file paperwork. |

Food Safety & Quality/Legal Requirements |
· Comply with all Food Safety, Quality and Legal requirements written in each SOP pertaining to job duties. · Report any infractions of Food Safety, Quality or Legality to supervisor. · Follow personal hygiene practices as documented. |

KNOWLEDGE, SKILLS, AND ABILITIES:
- Must maintain Confidentiality at all times.
- Strong Accounting skills, flexible and can adapt to change with ease.
- High level of accuracy, efficiency, and accountability.
- Working knowledge of Microsoft Outlook, Excel and Word.
- Working knowledge of database and spreadsheet software such as Excel or similar.
- Excellent communication, research, problem solving and time management skills.
- Strong attention to detail and excellent organizational skills.
- Must have the ability to multi-task and problem solve in a fast paced and deadline driven environment.
- Work as part of a team/be a team player.
- Ability to work well and professionally with the public.

EDUCATION:
Must possess a Bachelor's Degree in Accounting, Finance, or Business.
EXPERIENCE:
Must have a minimum of three years of experience working in General Accounting, Accounts Payable/Receivable, Inventory using an accounting software. Must also have a minimum of three years of supervision experience.

Computer, copy machine, fax machine, laptop, postage machine, printer, Nortel phone system.
PHYSICAL REQUIREMENTS AND WORKING CONDITIONS:
Normal office conditions apply. Employee must have clear, close vision for reading and computer work. Must be able to sit, stand, walk, balance, stoop, grasp, talk, hear and operate computer keyboard. Job may require reaching shoulder level and below waist. Will occasionally lift/push/pull up to 20 pounds and carry objects.
